I am so sorry for my absence this week, I have been battling a nasty cold that kept me up all night coughing, made me go through two bags of cough drops in two days, aching, stuffy head, allergies…You know, the fun stuff! 😀 Like a good little blogger, I attempted to trudge on through it.
I adore Kate Middleton. She is one classy lady whose style is quite enviable. She wore this gorgeous lace dress by Alexander McQueen to of the events of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Stunning.
And definitely not in my price range.
So a couple of months went by, and I was doing some mindless browsing on the internet when I stumbled upon this dress on SheInside.
For $37.
I about died.
When it finally arrived, I was very surprised by the quality of the dress! The lace is actually a layer over a white sheath instead of being embroidered like Ms. Middleton’s, but it looked gorgeous on! If you do order it, I highly suggest sizing up at least one size, the arms are super tiny, as well as the bust area.
This is definitely one those youcanonlyinhaleagustofwind type of dresses (Harvard Sailing Team reference), but it is worth it.
For my birthday yesterday, (EEK, yes it was my birthday!), the hubs and I went to Keeneland for the afternoon with a friend to have lunch and then watch the races. I finally had an occasion to wear this gorgeous lace dress that I’ve had hanging in my closet for over a year.
This frog got to turn into a princess!
