Pink Bow Blouse & Striped Skirt

No matter what season it is, pink will always be my favorite color!  My recent favorite color pairing is pink with grey, but the all-time classic is pink with navy.  Timeless and chic, it is my all-time favorite!

Originally, I had worn this striped nautical J.Crew skirt with a navy tank top for a clean color palette and then added these fun tasseled earrings.  Buuut unfortunately, I was only able to wear that top two times before “growing out of it”, so then I had to hunt for something else to pair it with.

And did I mention the skirt has pockets?  Why isn’t, like, every skirt made with pockets??

AND, this skirt actually runs slightly on the large side, so I was able to order my normal size and have it fit my 32-week bump!

Just a quick styling tip for this skirt, it needs to be paired with a more form-fitting top.  The skirt isn’t made to flare out (and the only reason why mine does is because of my belly. Ha!), so balance the loose bottom with a sleeker top OR add a tulle underlayer to give the skirt more volume.

It’s no secret that pink is my favorite color (I mean, just take a look at my Instagram feed these last several months, pops of pink everywhere!).

And since pink and bows go together like PB&J, I was immediately drawn to this top when I saw it online!  I chose my normal size, which, in hindsight, I probably should have gone up one size to accommodate my ever-growing belly.  Oh well.  I may not be able to wear it for much longer, but you best believe I’ll be wearing it post-partum! =)

Well friends, I’m off to tackle laundry and more cleaning.  I was pretty much down for the count all last week, Baby Girl was doing a lot of growing and I was battling preggo-exhaustion and not sleeping well.  This weekend, however, I caught a burst of energy so I’m going to make good use of it while it lasts! 😀
