Happy Monday, lovelies!!
Wow, it feels likes it’s been a LONG time since I blogged, and I am itching to get back to it. As most of you know, I was out of town last week for a wedding (I was a bridesmaid), and I just got back yesterday. It was a pretty jam-packed week, with bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, late night runs to Walmart, and of course, the wedding.
If you follow me on Instagram (@whitschoop), you got to see a little bit from the bachelorette party and snippets from the day of the wedding. So, for your enjoyment (and mine), I am happy to give you a quick recap of all the things that happened last week…prepare yourselves, it will be packed with details and colorful pictures! ๐
Wednesday: Wednesday, two of my best friends, we’ll call them R and C, caravanned up to Indianapolis from southern Indiana. When we finally checked into the hotel, we discovered that we only had an hour to get ready for the bachelorette party and BE there…aaaand we didn’t even have the Bride’s gift wrapped. Yikes. Needless to say, we were all in a panic, and I still had no idea what I was going to wear. It was supposed to be a 40s themed party with a modern twist, and thanks to my Closet Remix Challenge, I couldn’t go shopping for anything. So I threw on my one-shoulder chevron shift dress (say that five times fast), which is more 60s than 40s, and headed to the Cheesecake Factory. COMPLETELY in love with my dress!
C, R, and I on our way to the Bachelorette Party. Best friends for almost a decade! |

The Bride…Doesn’t she look stunning?? |
We had dinner and cocktails (most of us ordered the Thai Lettuce Wraps, to DIE for!), and then we headed out to go dancing.
We ended up at a dance club called The Vogue Theater, and we spent the next couple of hours dancing until we couldn’t feel our feet. It was GLOW night, so there were blacklights, neon colors, and highlighters to write on each other. Not going to lie, we had a blast, AND our group photo will be on the club’s website…talk about feeling like celebrities! ๐
Thursday: The rehearsal and wedding took place at the Mustard Seed Gardens in Noblesville, Indiana, which was BEAUTIFUL! I regret not taking more pictures than I did, but when you’re trying to run through the ceremony and working out the kinks, you tend to forget everything else. I did manage to snap a couple. That night, I finished The Bride’s wedding present (I know, a little last minute for me), and then some of the bridesmaids helped The Bride finish the wedding favors. We finally made it in bed sometime after midnight, but I doubt any of us slept very much.
Friday: THE BIG DAY!!! Um, let me just say that it did not start out very well. It rained POURED until an hour before the ceremony was supposed to start, so we were a couple of hours late taking pictures. While R (maid of honor) helped The Bride get ready, I helped the groomsmen fold their pocket squares…They were clueless, and I was happy to help. ๐ The Bride was stunning in her dress, and she had that wedding glow, and all of us girls could not believe this day had finally come. We had a blast taking pictures, and before we knew it, it was time to line up and begin the ceremony. The wedding went off without a hitch, except the music started skipping when I began to sing, so we just started over, but it was beautiful. I sang “Only Hope”, if anyone was wondering. I still can’t believe I made it through without crying! The reception was held in a rustic red barn that is on site, and it was decorated with white paper lanterns, cascading lights, and mason jars that The Bride and I had put together. Again, I could kick myself for not taking more pictures than I did!
Love this!! It looks like you had so much fun! Gorgeous pictures, too! ๐
