Hello, friends!
It’s my first outfit post since having Rosie, and I am so excited to be getting back into it! Getting dressed with a new baby is no small feat, especially when my body is little more than a couple months postpartum, but I am SO excited to be back in regular clothes again!! I am pretty blessed that I gained the same amount of weight that I did during my 1st pregnancy, so the same clothes fit (and it is the same time of year as last time). However, I had forgotten about that awkward stage when your maternity jeans no longer fit because you don’t have a belly holding them up, but your hips are still too wide to squeeze into most of your pre-pregnancy pants! Definitely 1st world problems, and I am very aware of (and thankful for) how tiny I am for having just pushed out a tiny human only two months ago…but it still would be nice to be able to fit into all of my old clothes.
But I digress.
This green coat, I purchased from a friend’s closet last spring, still brand new with tags. It was a steal for only $65, and I fell in love with the deep shade of green! Fast forward to now, and I realized that it was the perfect way to add a festive touch to every outfit! Plus, who doesn’t need a colorful coat to brighten up a rather dull season? With Christmas suddenly over and not much to look forward to between now and spring, it’s difficult finding ways to beat those winter blahs.
I love cozy neutrals as much as the next girl, but bold colors will always have my heart–and most of my closet. 😀
But back to Christmas being over; even though Thanksgiving was early, this year, I feel like the entire Christmas season sped by in a blur! I’m not entirely ready to put away my festive reds and greens, and I’m pretty sure my collection of fair isle sweaters still needs to be shared. Am I the only one who isn’t ready to stop wearing my holiday clothes??
Other than the holiday season, there really isn’t anything exciting about winter. It’s cold, grey, and dark, and in the south and Midwest, very little snowfall.
Stay Classy!
