Hello lovelies!
I’m on my way to visit my family for Spring Break (haven’t seen them since CHRISTMAS!!), and I just thought I’d leave you with a quick round-up of some looks that are on my wishlist; and even better, looks that won’t break the bank!
It’s no surprise to anyone that I am a pattern and color fanatic. When I saw these on the Forever 21 website, and for $20 or less, it’s pretty hard to say no!
1) The Essential striped sleeveless shirt comes in both black and a royal blue stripe. If you were eyeing the navy striped sleeveless popover from J.Crew Factory but didn’t want to spend $64.50, then this shirt would be a pretty good alternative!
2) What is not to love about this Grid Pattern Georgette Shirt? It’s mint, chiffon, flowy, and only $15.80!! If you’d like, you could have one in mint and the other one in white with a black pattern and still have mullah to splurge on quality basics (J.Crew Tippi Sweater or Kate Spade, anyone?).
3) I will skip down to the other two tops for now and leave the pants for last. The colors of the Essential Striped Georgette Shirt is on trend with the season of mixing bold colors from the same color family together. The small gold buttons add a sofistication to the shirt and keep it from looking like Valentine’s Day wrapping paper.
4) There is no question polka dots are one of my favorite patterns. And with spring weather coming and summer around the corner, a lightweight sleeveless shirt seems like a great buy! This Scratched Polka Dot Shirt is just that, a cute polka dot shirt but with a little edge to it by the polka dots appearing to be scratched or sketched on. A pretty cool change from the common black polka dots seen everywhere!
Last but not least, the colored skinny jeans. Let me preface this by saying that while they are offered at Forever 21 for great prices, I highly recommend investing in something that is know for better quality. The shirts that we talked about beforehand may or may not be in style next season so it’s very easy to justify paying for something with a little less quality.
Jeans, however, will never go out of style and I’m pretty sure the colored jeans trend will be sticking around for another few years (I’m crossing my fingers!). If right now you cannot afford paying more than $30 for a pair, Forever 21 or Old Navy are pretty good ways to go.
I can attest to the quality of Old Navy jeans because I have had two pairs for over a year now, and have worn them at least two or three times each week and they have still held up.
Forever 21, I have never owned a pair from them but I will let you know after today’s shopping excursion how they measure up to the rest :).
That being said, I will offer links to different price ranges and let you decide which route to go!
5) The green skinny jean is this year’s hot color. While found in many stores now, most of them have already sold out! Here is a roundup of stores that still have them, but hurry, they are selling out pretty quickly!
Forever 21 is offering a pair for sleek price of $15.80! This pair I have tried on in person, and the quality is surprisingly good! It is a very comfortable jean, very soft almost pant-like material, and the gold zipper hardware is a nice edgy touch. Do not size up, though, these run according to the correct size, unlike most F21 jeans.
The next price range that I could find online is Kate Spade’s for $178, which puts these in the upper price range. Keep in mind, most stores are completely sold out of this color but if you are lucky enough to see a pair at Old Navy, NY&Company or J.Crew, get em’ while their hot!
6) The fuschia pink color is another hot shade this season. I did manage to find a decent pair both at Forever 21 for $24 and on sale at J.Crew for $29.99. My suggestion would be to go for the J.Crew as they are better quality (and only $5 more!!). If you cannot find them, F21 would be just fine.
Hopefully these roundups are helpful in finding great looks for less! You don’t have to break the bank to be a fashionista or look nice.
Have a great week, lovelies, and I will see you all in a few days!
XOXO, Whit
