I’m so excited about this post, because 1). I’m sharing my favorite romper that’s super flattering, and 2). I am also sharing an AMAZING Nordstrom Anniversary Sale giveaway with you all at the bottom of this post!
Speaking of NSALE, don’t forget if you’re a cardholder, THIS THURSDAY you can begin to shop the sale! I got an exclusive sneak peek at the full catalogue of items, and I want to be honest with you all; I’m not as excited about the sale as I was last year. Yes, there will still be LOTS of great pieces that will be released and I plan to snag a few (I’m looking at you, Tory Burch riding boots!!), but there just aren’t as many basics as I was hoping for.
I still plan on keeping you all updated with my favorites, so don’t forget to check back on this post to stay in-the-know!
Before I tell you all about this adorable babydoll romper, let’s first talk about rompers in general…This is my first season to actually get to wear them (preggo last year, unsure about them year before), and it’s been hit or miss finding one that’s flatterTing!
If you’ve had the courage to try on a romper, you probably know what I’m talking about–the shorts are too short, it bunches funny in the waist, it looks like you’re wearing a diaper (totally the look I want to go for!), etc.
I’ve tried on lots of rompers in-stores and admired others from afar, but always came away empty handed!
So when I first saw this romper on ASOS, I was optimistic, but didn’t feel like paying $72 for a romper, let alone something that I might end up having to return.
But when I saw it on SheIn (my favorite shop for trying out new trends) for a fraction of the price (only $20 versus $72), I bought it!
I was cautiously optimistic, as I was solely going off of the size guide for the romper and had not tried it on…But I couldn’t WAIT for it to arrive!
Guys, it was love at first sight. This is probably one of my most favorite purchases from SheIn ever, and definitely the most flattering romper I have ever tried!
The length is just right, without swallowing up my short frame (just under 5’2, y’all!), and the cut is super flattering on my hips, bust, and shoulders.
And the material is cotton, so it’s very comfy and breathable!
I love the way the sheath overlay flairs out from the bust, giving somewhat of an empire waist–something I learned was the most flattering cut on me! It’s got such a cute, slightly retro vibe that I couldn’t resist pairing it with a scarf tied in my hair!
And speaking of scarves—using them as headbands to pull back your hair? You might see me doing this more often, as the temps heat up!
And now for the fun part…..

No way I’m entering another giveaway with this group of bloggers! Over 100 people to follow on different social media channels, writing that a winner will be announced on the widget within two weeks of the giveaway ending! Ha! Who won the last giveaway for the light pink Gucci bag? Oh, was the winner directly contacted? So that means that you didn’t use the widget to determine a winner? Or you just lied about posting a winner on the widget? Honestly, I don’t want to follow an extra 100 bloggers, but I did for a chance to win. For all I know there was never a Gucci bag to giveaway, and I look like the fool.
Hey Bree!
I want to sincerely apologize for the winner of the Gucci bag contest being delayed in announcing. I received an email from our host yesterday, and the winner should appear on the widget now. I should have been more aware that the winner had not been announced and should have made a better effort to resolve that issue. I hope you will accept my sincerest apology for this mistake, and I owe it to you to follow through on a promise. And if I cannot follow through on that promise (the winner not being posted within the set time frame), then I will do my best to keep you informed of what is going on.
Sincerely,
Whitley
