Ohhhhh, I know I shouldn’t brag, but today is my last day before SPRING BREAK!! One of the many perks of being a teacher, that, and having (most) of the summer off, is that I am blessed to be able to have a week off. I need it!! With the end of the semester rapidly approaching, things at school have become super busy with trying to wrap up projects, musical rehearsals, projects, etc., and my brain is already having a meltdown.
My students have been NUTS this week, and honestly, I’m right there with them! I’m usually pretty dedicated and stay until 5pm, but this week I have jetted out of my classroom by 3:30 because Spring Fever has hit me HARD–even as I am typing this post, my mind keeps wandering!
So while I am going to pretend that there is NOT snow in the forecast for tonight (really, Mother Nature??), I’m going to officially pack away all of my winter coats and sweaters, and give a warm welcome to BOLD colors and patterns! 😀 You all know my love for plaid…It make an almost-daily occurrence in my fall and winter outfits. To be honest, I prefer fall and winter plaids to the bright ones in spring and summer, but every now and then, a colorful spring plaid will capture my heart attention! When I saw this plaid shirt on J.Crew Factory’s website when they first rolled out their spring arrivals, I wasn’t all that impressed. Online, it looks like more of an orange-and-purple shirt that harkens back to my orange and grape soda days in elementary school (ew), but when I walked into a J.Crew outlet store back in February, I was able to see that the colors are actually coral, pink, and faded navy…A.K.A, I was hooked. 😀
And speaking of other loves, coral + mint. *SWOON* How cute is this mint bag from Charming Charlie?? If you haven’t popped into one of their stores lately or perused their website, mint and coral goodness are splashed all over! I sadly missed out on the gorgeous Kate Spade Cove Street Saffiano crossbody during their surprise sale *sniff sniff*, but when Charming Charlie surprised me with this beautiful seafoam-colored satchel, I was so excited! There are two shades of mint that this bag comes in, the seafoam colored one that I have is has a more blue in it, and the other shade of mint has more green in the color and gold hardware. Normally I prefer gold to silver hardware, but I think the silver hardware goes better with the cool tone of mint.
Well ladies, I hope you all will have a lovely weekend! I’m off to wrestle my Spring Fever into submission for one last day before Spring Break.
Love it or leave it, do you like mint and coral together?
Stay Classy!
