Ok, you all, you have to purchase this cable knit turtleneck. Seriously, you will not regret it!! I loved this sweater so much when I purchased it in burgundy and orchid last year, that I had to add another color when J.Crew restocked them this year. J.Crew’s game has been ON POINT this year!
Unfortunately, the burgundy color was not restocked this year, BUT the sweater does come in eight other wonderful colors. I’m considering going back for the navy one…when you really like something, you buy it in all colors, right? 😀
One more FYI–this sweater can be a little itchy if you have sensitive skin, so you might want to add a light button down or turtleneck underneath.
I am normally a very preppy person, but I wanted to try something different for a date night look. I added my chambray tunic for length (a must-have piece whether you’re pregnant or not!), and then paired them with my faux leather leggings and black kitten heels.
Surprisingly, these leggings are non-maternity and they still fit! I purchased them during the Black Friday sale at Nordstrom last year, and I have gotten so much wear out of them–I’ve even worn them to work. Very very comfortable, they do not make my legs overheat, nor do they make that annoying squeaky sound when I walk. Because, who wants to announce to the world that you’re wearing leather when you’re walking down the hall? #nothankyou
My only suggestion is to size up one size from your normal denim or leggings size, as they do run small. They do stretch out a teeny bit in the waist when you wear them multiple times, but I’ve washed them in the washer and air-dried them, and they’ve gone back to their original size.
(I know I don’t look like I’m 9 months pregnant, but I swear I am!)

Besides taking walks, M. and I have been trying to get in as many date nights as we can before the baby arrives. It doesn’t seem real that at any moment, it won’t just be the two of us anymore! Buuut with being two days past my due date, I’m kind of hoping she’ll be here soon…I’m ready to not be pregnant anymore. 😛 #souncomfortable
I have been all about comfort these last few weeks, so any time I can find something that is both stylish and comfortable, I jump on it! I have worn these faux leather leggings at least once a week this last month, and I’m not exaggerating when I say they are very very comfortable–even when I sit down. 😀
So if you’re looking for a fun date-night look, wanting to switch up your preppy style, or just looking to up your leggings game, faux leather leggings are the way to go!
No excuse me while I go snag another cable knit turtleneck….
