Last Saturday, Preeti and I met for brunch at Coppins in Hotel Covington.  You all, I think I just found my new favorite place!  If you didn’t see my Instastories, then you missed seeing the pretty architecture and delicious food we enjoyed– the best shrimp n’ grits this side of the Mason Dixon line, and definitely the best mimosas we’ve ever had!

And while we were brunching, it started to snow!!!  Not much, just flurries, but it made it feel like it was truly the Christmas season.  We shot our outfits outside (it was coooooold), but you can see some of the snowflakes were captured in the photos! 😀

It was so nice to be able to enjoy some baby/hubby-free girl time with Preeti–we started out as Instagram friends many years ago, before having babies (before marriage for her!), we became pretty close during our pregnancies, and then after moving to Cincinnati, we became real-life friends!  It’s pretty cool that our friendship is so multi-faceted.  It’s nice to have a person you can connect with on different levels, whether it’s wine and catching up on blog gossip, or playdates with toddlers and (lots) of coffee.

And we both have talked each other out of some pretty questionable shoe purchases (like those sequin over-the-knee boots I did not need!!), and we’ve shared some epic diaper blow-outs with our kids.

No matter what the occasion is, I know she’s got my back!

Now that I’ve made her blush, I’ll wrap this up–Love you, girl, and thanks for sticking with me.  I look forward to many more playdates and bottles of rosé.  And maybe Lilly and Dillon will end up together, and we’ll be in-laws! 😀
