Happy Tuesday, friends!
I hope all of you had a wonderful Mother’s Day on Sunday, and got to spend time with loved ones! I had to be at church super early to for worship team rehearsal, so no breakfast in bed for me, BUT I still got to enjoy a late breakfast with M. and Lilly before the service!
Sunday was pretty laidback for us, we FaceTimed with my mother-in-law in Germany (did you know that Mother’s Day is celebrated on the same day?), had a small lunch, and after Lilly got up from her nap, we snapped some blog pictures and went shopping for my Mother’s Day present! 😀
I had said that that I wanted to pick out some ferns, for my Mother’s Day present, because HELLO SUMMER, so off we went to Home Depot. Sadly, they were sold out, so we ended up going for ice cream at Graeter’s, instead. Not a bad substitution, in my book!
Side note: I was able to get my ferns yesterday! 😀
You guys, I’m pretty sure we’ve skipped spring and went straight to summer! It is 90 degrees and humid, which makes my hair FRIZZY. And because it’s basically summer, our church already had their A/C cranked up…which meant that I was freezing during the sermon. I wish I could say that I was smart enough to take this cardigan to church with me, buuut I didn’t. I didn’t think of it until afterwards. SO, if I could do Sunday all over again, that’s the only thing I would change; I would take my cardigan with me! 😀
Even though Mother’s Day was pretty laid back, it was exactly what I needed–to relax and enjoy time with my two favorite people in the world! With a new baby coming in October, M. being busy at work, and lots of other changes coming for our family this summer (I hope to get to share about them, soon!), an easy-going Mother’s Day was just what I needed to re-focus my attention on what matters most–my family.
Hope you all will have a great week!
Stay Classy!
