Happy Last Week of July, everyone!
(um, what?)
Rereading that first sentence, it is SO hard to comprehend that July is ending and August will be here on Monday; as a teacher, I’m in denial! I mean seriously, WHERE did the summer go???
As much as I dislike extreme heat and humidity, I am really going to miss the long hours of sunlight, fresh fruits and vegetables, off-the-shoulder everything, and TASSELS.
OH.MY.GOODNESS. this trend has stolen my heart! From tassel earrings, necklaces, shoes, to BAGS–I’m glad this trend came back this year, and I’m really hoping it will be sticking around for awhile. As in, I’ve already started a spring wishlist for next year. 😀
And speaking of tassels… HOW ADORABLE IS THIS BASKET! I mean c’mon, PINK tassels? Who could resist??? (And how cute is the monogrammed version?)
I can fit just about everything in this basket, from my laptop, wallet, sunglasses and keys, to all of my beach essentials such as towels, sandals, sunscreen, etc.! Definitely more budget-friendly than some of the other tasseled handbags that have been floating around this summer(and in my opinion, more adorable!).
And while we’re on the topic of trends, I had to share these pretty bangles with you all! This pineapple bangle was a no-brainer, and of course I had to stack it with the pink bracelets (can you tell I love pink?). Right now Baubles N Bits is offering a 25% off coupon if you follow them on Instagram! Visit their site and follow the link to get your code. 🙂
As much as the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has me dreaming of fall, I am still holding on to summer for as long as a can. Don’t get me wrong, I prefer fall’s cooler temps to summer’s heat and humidity, and I looooove fall fashion (hello layers, cozy sweaters, vests, and booties!); but I really got into the trends this summer, and I’m not quite ready to let pineapple prints, off-the-shoulder-everything, tassels, younameit go!
Granted, each day it’s a little more difficult getting dressed because of my growing bump and there have been many days where I’ve just lounged around in shorts and a t-shirt…So I guess I’m ready for fall, but I’m not ready at the same time. Do any of you feel that way, too? 🙂
And speaking of growing bump…
Around Spring Break is when I began my 2nd trimester, and last week I began my 3rd. woah.
Every woman I’ve talked to said that the 2nd trimester would be gone in the blink of an eye, and they weren’t exaggerating! M. and I started our baby registry, purchased our stroller and car seat, and I’ve begun collecting things for when Baby Girl first arrives. There’s so much to do!! Finish baby registry (I almost had a panic attack in the store, there are sooo many options), sign-up for birthing classes, write up lesson plans for maternity leave, make sure I’m eating enough…
(That last one is harder than you think!) #alwayshungry #noroom
I feel quite overwhelmed at times, thinking of what needs to be done between now and October, but then I stop to remind myself that women have been having babies for thousands of years, and doing a pretty good job at it so I really don’t need to freak out if things aren’t perfect…I am definitely a Type A personality, and this pregnancy has shown me that I need to pump the breaks a little bit! 😀
Anywho, you all didn’t come here to listen to the ramblings of a pregnant woman, but if you’re still with me, thanks for sticking around! 🙂

I love all of the cute details of your outfit, especially the tassels! I’m still in shock that it is almost August and am trying to soak up every last bit of summer too! Also, your pictures caught my eye because the background is the same view from my front porch. Great location, haha! Cheers, Laura
