Happy Wednesday, lovelies!
Today is a rather special day for you all, I am not only going to give you my weekly Wednesday Wishlist, but I am also throwing in an outfit post! And not just any outfit post…I’m breaking out the sequins today! 😀
When I saw that the theme of the link-up party on Adrienne’s blog, Black.White.Color was Chambray//White Jeans//Sparkle, I got SUPER excited!! Not only does it incorporate two of my favorite things, sparkle, and chambray, but it gave me an excuse to finally try this outfit I have been wanting to wear but have been putting off…no idea why, because it’s MINT SEQUINS and chambray. I know, I was as amazed as you are that two amazing phenomenons as sequins and mint could be combined!
You need to understand something; I am obsessed with mint, and I am obsessed with sequins (hence the title of my blog), and when I saw this skirt, I knew that it must be a part of my closet! It’s different, for sure, but different things can be very exciting things, and once in awhile, you just have to go for it.
Totally in love with this polka dot chambray shirt, I could probably find a way to wear it almost every single day. It is THAT versatile!
This skirt was a bit of a risk for me to buy, first because it’s a sequined skirt, and second, because it is a mint sequined skirt, but who could resist anything that’s mint or sequined???
I am quite a fan of wearing sequins as much as possible, so why should they only be reserved for nighttime parties?? Answer? They don’t have to! Pair a sequined skirt with a chambray top or a loose t-shirt to tone down the bling and you have instant day-chic.
The mint is a very spring-y, summer-y color, which helps it work as a daytime skirt, and when paired with a chambray top that is tied at the waist, it tones down the party feel of the sequins and makes it perfect for wearing during the day. Change the top to a loose chiffon blouse, add some heels, and you have an instant transformation into nighttime glamour.
I decided my arm party wasn’t big enough, so I invited more pieces to join. Can’t get enough of this gold bangle and chain link bracelet!! I am unashamed to say that I wear them almost every single day.
Sandals: Target, check in stores
Necklace: gifted
Bracelets: Forever 21 sold out, bow cuff similar,
chain bracelet similar here and here
To keep with the theme of sparkly, I decided to make my Wednesday Wishlist of all things sparkly and sequined. So if sparkly things make you as happy as a kid in a candy store, then feast your eyes on these tasty morsels!
I know I won’t (and probably shouldn’t) have most of these items in my wardrobe, but who can resist all the bling?? I love adding a pop of sparkle here or sequins there, like in the sequin bow clutch!! Sequins and a bow, need anything else be said? If a little bit of sparkle is all you’re looking for, then the sequined anchor tank top is perfect for your spring and summer wardrobe! Oh, and the emerald glitter cap-toed flats?? Move over, Dorothy, your shoes aren’t going to be the only ones the Witch of the West wants! Ok, maybe that last one was a little strong…
Stay Classy!
