Sooo, you know how last week I mentioned that I couldn’t get enough of blue and white together? Well, my other obsession just happens to be the IT-color of the moment; blush. Even before this shade of pink was (one of) the Pantone 2016 Color of the Year, if I saw it, I probably added it to my closet.
And oh, how many blush items I’ve added to my closet, recently!
These wedges, you all, I HAVE to talk about these Marc Fisher Annie wedges for a moment!
I know I’ve mentioned these a few thousand times on Instagram, but that’s because they were the most amazing find I have made this year!
I had seen these wedges all. over. the blogosphere, pretty much the IT wedges of the season, but just couldn’t convince myself to pull the trigger on them. $169.95 for shoes I’ll wear during warmer weather would have been a splurge, plus they were sold out in practically every store so I had no idea if they were all that comfortable.
So Lilly and I went to Nordstrom Rack, for the first time, a couple weeks ago–I had been eyeing some shoes online, but wanted to try them on in-store first, and I wanted to check out the hype surrounding NR.
And you guys, I stopped in my tracks when I saw these shoes sitting on the end of the shoe aisle.
No way, I thought.
I peaked at the price tag–$69????
At first, I couldn’t believe that they were THE Marc Fisher Espadrille Wedges, because they had just come out this season…and they were $69.
I looked at the logo on the pad of the shoe, turned them over and examined every inch, thinking “surely there’s something wrong with them and that’s why they’re here”.
They were the real deal, and you best believe I was doing a happy dance in there in the shoe aisle! I looked over at Lilly, and of course she was happy for me–she had the biggest smile on her face! 😀
Or she had gas…
We’ll go with the shoes.
And ohhh, are they comfy!! I have already walked many hours in these shoes, and not once have my feet gotten sore. We spent a few hours walking around the mall, we took a stroll through Hyde Park…not once did my feet complain.
Conclusion? I would have gladly paid full price for these shoes.
Remember when I talked about needing to invest in comfortable shoes, now that I’m a mom? These espadrille wedges perfectly fit the bill!
I kept the colors pretty simple for this outfit, so the contrast between the ruffled hem and blush denim would stand out. This ruffle hem tank top is pretty comfortable, you can even layer it over a button down shirt for cooler Spring temps!
Are you on the blush train, too?
I’d love to hear what you like pairing with blush!
Stay Classy!
