Well, everyone, this was supposed to be my outfit for today, but that was before the temperature dropped to a frigid 4 degrees Fahrenheit with a windchill of -16. School was cancelled, and for the safety of the children who would have to wait for the bus, I am thankful! I am yet again spending another day in my pjs, blanket, and heater beside me, but I really can’t complain about having another day off! I will say, though, if the condition of the roads don’t improve, I will probably go crazy from being cooped up all weekend!SO, if I were to get dressed today, it would probably be less about fashion and more about utility, so we will just pretend I am actually wearing this cute outfit today :D. I am pretty much in love with everything about this outfit because it has three things: style, comfort, and pattern mixing. I practically lived in leggings last fall/winter, and so far this year, not much has changed! It’s basically a no-brainer to wear leggings when I want to put myself together but not spend much time on getting dressed and be fuss-free while running errands. And if I can throw in something trendy like pattern mixing? My day is golden!With that being said, I have been scouring stores and the internet to find comfy but chic sweater tops to wear over my leggings (and still cover my behind because #leggingsarenotpants). Funny story is, my sister’s boyfriend got this sweater for her for Christmas, and well, let’s just say I immediately ran out and bought the sweater! What can I say, I’m a sucker for sparkly things, and the sparkly threads of the stripes had me at hello. 😀You probably recognize this vest from J.Crew, and this is another one of my favorite parts of the outfit. I had been salivating eyeing this vest for MONTHS, but just couldn’t pull the trigger to pay the retail price, nor did it ever seem to fall into my price range. Well ladies, thanks to a tip from an awesome IG friend of mine who posted this find on her account, (Thanks, @juliet316!!) some J.Crew Factory stores have received some shipments of the vests directly from the retail stores! And did I mention that when they were having sales, this vest was included? It was marked down to $75 and then I got an additional 20% off making this baby $55, one-third the retail price. This was a Merry-Christmas-to-me gift, and I cannot tell you how much I LOVE it!! Seriously, I am probably as in love with it as I am the herringbone vest. It’s navy, and because navy is a neutral, it literally goes with everything, and stripes are such an easy pattern with which to mix patterns!And if you all have been waiting for this tassel necklace to be restocked, it is back at BaubleBar! This is another one of my favorites because you can do so much with it, and it can be layered with just about anything! I’ve worn it underneath scarves, paired with pearls, etc., and there are a few different ways you can wear the necklace itself!
