Today I’m going to share with you all three tips for transitioning your summer wardrobe to fall! Let’s face it, ladies, it’s still hot out, it’s more than likely going to remain hot for another few weeks, but we are all desperate for fall weather and fall fashion. While we can’t break out the cable knit sweaters and blanket scarves just yet, there are LOTS of other ways to put a little fall-feeling into your outfits and freshen up your weekly wardrobe. Check out my helpful tips below!
Three Tips to Fall Transition
1) Accessories:
Add fall color to your outfit with a dark or neutral-colored accessory such as a burgundy handbag or gray ankle boots. Switch out those bright red pumps for lace-up merlot heels, or keep everything simple with cognac and brown accessories. Warm, earth-tones add a cozy touch, minus the heat ;).
2) Beauty Routine:
One of my favorite (and budget-friendly) ways to transition a look is to switch up my beauty routine
Around this time, I like to trade out my bright pink and coral lip colors for more berry and cinnamon tones–it’s amazing how much affect a lip color has on the feel of the outfit, and it’s also the easiest way to put a little fall-vibe into your look!
Another fun way to switch up your beauty routine is to paint your nails in fall-fabulous colors like brick-red, plum, hunter green, smoky gray, rusty orange, and many other shades. You should check out Essie’s new Fall collection, lots of great fall-worthy shades!
3) Mix & Match
Pretty straightforward on this one, just mix and match your summer pieces with your fall pieces! Pair your white denim with a burgundy top and wedges, or add a tan leather jacket to your summer dress for the cooler evenings and mornings. A lightweight olive army vest is another layer you could wear, and nothing says fall like olive green!
There are lots of different ways in which you can transition your summer wardrobe into fall without breaking a sweat (literally!), and all it takes is a little creativity and imagination. And I’m pretty sure you don’t even have to break the bank, either (remember tip #2?)!
This list is by no means exhaustive, so I’m sure you all have come up with other creative ways to put a little (fall) pep in your (fashion) step!
