So, I have decided I am only purchasing my holiday skirts from one place: Preppy Pink Shop. Justice, the creator of PPS and all the loveliness that goes into it, began Preppy Pink Shop on Etsy and recently launched the full website for her shop. You all are fully aware of my obsession affinity for plaid, and this line of holiday skirts has me swooning! Seriously, I would add just about every holiday skirt to my closet if I had room. Taffetas, wool, bows, plaids, so many gorgeous colors to choose from, and that’s only a small part of what this shop has to offer!
You’ve probably seen some adorable Lilly Pulitzer skirts floating around on Instagram and wondered where they were from. Did I mention that Justice is uber talented??
If you haven’t already, you must check out Preppy Pink Shop’s new website (you can still purchase through Etsy, if you’d like). My skirt is a taffeta skirt, and the quality is outstanding! The bow belt is adjustable to fit any size (perfect for the Thankgiving stuffing!), and it looks adorable with the skirts in my closet! Seriously, I am already eyeing these skirts (here, here, and here) to add to my closet for the Christmas season coming up! Make sure to swoon over check out her fabulous holiday skirts, and use code SimplyWhit for 20% off your order (make sure to capitalize the s and w).
With Thanksgiving just two short days away (!!!!), the first thing I needed to do was plan what I am going to wear that day. We will be spending time with family all day, stuffing ourselves into a food coma and then chill in the evening. My family is never one to dress down, and growing up, wearing jeans to a holiday get-together is a big no-no. I guess you can say that dressing nicely has been (lovingly) drummed into my head since I was little, but now that I am an adult, I have certainly come to appreciate and even embrace dressing up. I know I act differently and have more confidence when I’m dressed nicely compared to when I throw on a tshirt and jeans.
With that being said, I still need something I will look nice but still feel comfortable in. Would you believe it if I said I had no idea what I was going to wear this until I started writing this post? Seriously, I put together this outfit for church a couple weeks back, and I just now realized that it would be the perfect Thanksgiving Day attire.
So lovelies, I hope you will have a wonderful week preparing for Thanksgiving, tomorrow will be my last outfit post for the week, and then on Friday I will have a fabulous surprise from Groopdealz…you thought the J.Crew giveaway was good 😉
